Chef Johnathan McCloskey is a Southern California–based private chef and hospitality professional with a passion for creating elevated dining experiences that feel both refined and deeply personal. With years of experience spanning premium dining, large-scale food & beverage operations, and luxury guest service, Johnathan brings a unique blend of culinary creativity and high-level hospitality to every table.

His approach to food is rooted in storytelling — combining seasonal ingredients, nostalgic inspirations, and thoughtfully curated menus designed to create memorable experiences for every guest.

Throughout his career, Johnathan has worked within the Disney hospitality realm, including Blue Bayou and Premium Services, where attention to detail, personalized service, and exceptional guest experiences are held to the highest standard. Prior to transitioning into private dining and event experiences, he also served as an Executive Chef and Assistant Food & Beverage Manager within professional sports hospitality, overseeing high-volume culinary operations serving thousands of guests nightly.

Man, where do I even start. We had about 35 people out at our place in Huntington Beach and I was honestly nervous about how a private chef would handle that many guests, but Johnathan and his team didn't miss a beat all night. Brunch at our house in Newport Beach. That's really all I need to say but I'll say more anyway. The egg dish alone was worth it. Pastries were still warm, potatoes were perfect, mimosa setup looked like something out of a magazine. This year we did something different for Thanksgiving. We had a chef come cook the whole meal for our family in Anaheim instead of everyone crammed in the kitchen all day like usual. Okay so we stayed at an Airbnb by Disneyland for a family trip and booked a themed dinner one night, mostly for the kids honestly, but it ended up being the highlight of the whole vacation for all of us. Group of us rented a house in Laguna for a friend's birthday and had him cook dinner one night instead of dealing with reservations for 10 people on a Saturday. Coastal menu, seafood was great, he ran the whole thing solo without breaking a sweat. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
