From fresh tropical fruits and smoky grilled meats to bright citrus, coconut, and island spices, every meal felt vibrant, comforting, and meant to be shared with the people around you. My Summer Luau menu is a celebration of that experience — designed for warm nights, glowing tiki torches, and gatherings that feel effortless and unforgettable. It’s my way of bringing a little bit of the sandy beaches, ocean air, and aloha spirit of Hawaii back to the mainland through food that feels both exciting and fresh!

An American Summer

Growing up, summer meant long days out on the lake, sunburnt shoulders, the smell of sunscreen and boat fuel, and knowing that when the day was over, everyone would end up back at my grandparents’ house for dinner. After hours on the water, there was nothing better than gathering around the table for classic backyard barbecue favorites — steak on the grill, homemade potato salad, fresh watermelon, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Those meals were simple, nostalgic, and full of life, and they’re a huge inspiration behind American Summer. This menu is my way of bringing those memories back to the table through elevated takes on the timeless dishes that feel unmistakably American and remind us all of summers spent with family, friends, and good food.
